The Ferring Foundation’s archives collect documents, such as administrative records of public and local authorities. There lies an emphasis on personal and family records. It reaches from the 17th century into contemporary times. Our Finding Aid covers the whole collection and is made available for everyone.
The archive does also administer records which belong to the Administrative Office Föhr-Amrum, including the Archive of the Island of Föhr. The Finding Aid for the Island’s Archive can be found here. The Finding Aid for the Office’s complete collection can be accessed here.
The Öömrang Archiif (which is the archive of the Island Amrum) also has its seat within the Ferring Foundation and has its own separate Finding Aid.
You can search the Foundations entire collection with this database.
