The library’s core consists of books that founder Frederik Paulsen collected during his lifetime. The topics of these books range from Frisian to nautical history and philology.
The collection consists of around 10 000 books. Most of the books are written in German, but also in Frisian, Danish, Dutch or English.
The library catalogue can be accessed online.
It is possible to use the library Monday to Friday, 9-12 am. The library is a reference library, which means that the books can only be accessed within the rooms of the library.
Workplaces, copier, microfilm scanner and free WiFi are available for visitors.
